Holly Rudel and Andreas Backhaus, two members of the Zimmerman lab, participated in an awesome outreach event in coordination with Yale Pathways (connecting local middle and high school students to STEM opportunities in Yale labs) and NEWT (an NSF funded research center). At the event, NEWT graduate students gave tech talks about a variety of water-related issues and opportunities, including Water Reuse and Day Zero. The Zimmer-people are very excited to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers!
